Christine Berberich
Principal
Christine is from Brisbane and has been Principal at Kulkarriya Community School since 2021. Christine loves to share her interests in hand crafts and quilting with students and community members. She is also partial to the odd Netflix TV show.
Brittany Reekie
Joeys Teacher
Brittany joined us in 2024 and has taken brilliantly to the school. Brittany is from New Zealand and is one of our two Kiwi residents. Her young Joey students are thriving in class and class numbers continue to grow.
Tayla Marmo
Kangaroos Teacher
Tayla joined Kulkarriya in 2024. She is from Victoria and teaches the Pre-Primary and Year 1 students in the Kangaroo class. Her students adore her, and their attendance rates are excellent.
Israel Miles
Parrots Teacher
Izzy has recently taken on a new role teaching our Parrot students and has performed excellently. He is one of our Kiwi staff members, loves sports and has provided great new ideas to the school.
Aminio Kaivuaqava
Cockatoos Teacher
Aminio recently switched to the Cockatoos class. He is from Fiji and has previously worked at Wulungurra School.
Emily Murphy
Turkeys Teacher
Emily is from Ireland and has adapted amazingly to community life. Emily has a full Turkey class most days and is excellent at keeping them in check.

Black-Headed Pythons Teacher
Lachie joined us at the beginning of Term 3, his partner Nikita and dog Biscuits are also here, Lachie likes soccer and running.
Chris Quinlan Price
Business Manager
Chris is Irish and has been our Business Manager since 2023. Chris loves all sports and the outdoors but struggles with the Kimberley heat.
Emy Kennedy
Learning Support
Emy joined Kulkarriya for the 2024 year. She’s from Victoria and has brought many new ideas and projects to the school. Her husband Rick is a builder and can be seen around school and the community. Emy’s sons Zaffa and Slater have also settled into the school brilliantly and made lots of new friends.
Nikita Iriks
Teaching Assistant
Nikita is Lachlan’s partner and has joined us as a Teaching Assistant, she has been a super addition and is always willing to lend a hand wherever it’s needed.
OUR LOCAL STAFF
Our local staff often share cultural backgrounds and languages with the students, which helps in creating a more relatable and engaging learning environment.
Trichelle Laurel
AET
Trichlle moved from the office to the classroom in 2024, where she joined the Turkeys. Trichelle has a wealth of community knowledge and has the respect of all students and staff alike. Trichelle’s daughter Jamaica is in King Browns.
Selina Qualla
AET
Selina is helping the Kangaroos class, and she does great work with the young students. She is always willing to lend a hand in the kitchen or wherever needs arise.
Samara Skinner
AET
Samara takes care of our Irlee Birds program for children under 4 and can also be seen helping out in other classes. Her daughter Jade attends the school.
Leona Skinner
AET
Leona is AET in the Joeys class. She joined us this year having previously worked in the school.

AET
Jasmin has worked in KCS on and off for a number of years. She is currently an AET in the Joeys class.
Leetara Costaine
Cleaner
Leetara joined us this year as a cleaner, she also helps out in the kitchen, her son Lebron is in the Parrots class.
Austin Watson
Groundsman
Ausitn is one of our Grounds staff, he plays footie for the Noonkanbah Blues and also helps out in the classroom occasionally.

Leryan recently joined us as an AET in the High School, his children Sahara, Leryan and Soharlia are students in Kulkarriya School
Leon ‘Bubbly’ Button
Groundsman
Bubbly has worked in our school for 20 years. He is an expert at his job and the school would struggle to run without him. His son Sam is in the Turkeys class.
Martina Costaine
Homemaker Cook
Martina is our most experienced Cook, her daughter Lily is in the Turkeys class, and her other daughter Imogean also works in the Kitchen with Martina.
Scottisha Munda
Homemaker Cook
Scottisha has been here for two years, she plays footie for the Blues also. Scottisha’s family members Shanty, Xavier, Mike and Mia are all students in the school.
Imogean Costaine
Homemaker Cook
Imogean joined us this year having previously been a student here. Her mother Martina is also a cook and her sister Lily is in the school also.
